It sounds like a conspiracy against our consumers, according to the previous newspaper investigation against GPS system seller and service provider, TomTom. As I had mentioned before, TomTom had sold the customers' data to police department, and give them the opportunity to ticket drivers at certain area when they tend to drive faster, and to help increase the local authority revenue any way they can. Also, according to Insure.com report, those speeding ticket also would cause the increase on auto insurance premium. 1 ticket within a year might increase below 20%. 2 tickets within a year, might increase over 25%. 3 to 4 tickets within 3 - 4 years might increase 35% or more. Which also help increase the profit of those auto insurance. As piece of advise, do not drive too fast, try to limit your speed, because local government trying any way they can to increase their revenue. And the act of TomTom just purely wrong to sell their GPS owner driving data to third party.
