Banana bitter at the end

I have a banana everyday and I like them a little on the green side which often I can't find. So I get them riper than I like anyway. Today I had one that was almost green enough for my tastes; it was fine until the last bite at the end which had a bitter taste. I have never encountered that taste in a banana before and wonder why it was just the last bite.

The bitter end would have been the end that was attached to the bunch, it would be the last part of the banana to start ripening and so therefore it was still too green to eat. If you ate a fully green banana, it would all be bitter.

Sorry but the bitter bite was at the other end. Also, I regularly eat bananas much, much greener than this one which is how I prefer them and I have never encountered one that tasted like this bite did. Bitter was the only word I could think of to describe it but I'm not sure how accurate that is or how well it would agree with what others think of as bitter.

Hi stealthy! Wouldn't a banana still with a little green on it tastes bitter? Even those bananas with an all yellow color when still unripe would taste bitter. I like bananas that are ripe and yellow all over.

I don't find bananas that are a little green to taste bitter; they are kind of tart or, maybe, acidic.

I don't believe I've ever had a banana when it is green, or even a little greenish. Sounds like of interesting. How different is the taste between a slightly green banana and a totally ripe one?

I think you may eat the layer of peel of the banana. So, you have to just remind what have you been eaten at the end of the banana.
