What's your favorite on board game you like to play as your pass time hobby, Mylotters? Is it Scrabble, Monopoly, Mahjong, English or Chinese Chess, or others that i don't know about. I personally like to play Monopoly and Scrabble whenever i have plenty of free time on hand with my friend, we can sit down with a couple of cold beer and chill out at the same time get to work on our little brain in a relaxing manner with both games. Let's talk about your favorite game now.

Chinese version is quite different from English chess, in term of the way it can move across the board, and capture the king. Basically both you and your opponent are waging a 'war' in order to capture the king (no queen) in Chinese version, the advance and draw back movement is quite simple compare to English chess, less confusing to your eye, there are foot soldiers, Captain, General and royal guards to protect the king, before you can reach him, so as the game proceed, you need to sly some of these soldiers before you can 'checkmate', and your opponent will do the same to your side of the battle field and at the same time keep a watchful eye on your move. It is as interesting as the English chess except the chess piece contain Chinese words not english.

Scrabble is my favorite board game too. A group of friends get together almost every weekend and play scrabble for hours together. It is getting very much addictive, as a way of relaxation, and spending the free time, or is it socializing !

I do feel the same with Scrabble. more as a way to relax and socializing with friends, sometimes we do put a small bet the winner take all just to add spice to the game. Have a nice day!

I am not a big fan of board games, but I still play them on rare occasions. I like card games cause these don't require much setup and don't usually lost for too long. I like to play poker (Texas Hold'em) and some other card games.

Well, I would say that Chess and Checkers are classics. Aside from that two, I love playing Chinese checkers, Monopoly, and Scrabble. I don't know how to play Mahjong.

It may need some time for you to learn Mahjong if you are unfamiliar with it, it usually require four player in order to play. It is more like card game actually; instead of like board game. The player usually have bet among them at the biginning of each set of game, the one who get the full house first win them all.

Hi lampar! I like playing Scrabble and Snake & Ladders! I have great fun playing snake & ladders with kids and kinda relaxing for me, while with Scrabble, hmmm I always like it coz it helps me enriching my vocabulary...especially when I was younger, the only problem is that, when I am playing it with my husband, sometimes we end up fighting! haha On the other hand, my husband loves chess more than anything else...I hope I can learn it too...someday.

Sanke and ladders is fun, i can still remember it even though it had been a long time since i last play it, when i was a teenager. Scrabble can enrich your vacabulary, there is no question about that, it also help in making couple fight over point earn and argue over whether such 'word' really does exist or not, haha...

While playing Scrabble, we are not allow to have a dictionary along us, it is against the rule and regulation. Only when certain strange 'word' is used by the player, then only all players are allowed to refer to the dictionary for verification. Ya! if you have excellent memory for word, and strong in vocabulary, you are in an advantage position.

haha, that's why i don't really know if playing scrabble with my husband is a good or a bad thing for us... sometimes its just really annoying when i am already losing or the fight is so close and then he keeps on teasing me... sometimes one is also cheating by looking for words in the dictionary..., but its really fun. I also have great memories playing it with my parents and my brother...
