and these are what we in the uk would call biscuits.. anything that doesn't resemble an actual cookie.. so the likes of things in wrappers, that aren't chocolate / candy bars.. and other forms of "cookies" .. we call them biscuits. is everything a little clearer? lol!

It's not really fair to say "actual cookie", as if that is correct and others are wrong. Different countries often use words differently. In the U.S., a biscuit is a flaky bread like this: http://www.wizardrecipes.com/upload/Baking Powder Biscuits.jpg I think it's called a scone.

Whoops. The link won't work. You have to have the spaces, but it looks like it won't link properly. Here's different pic: http://img4.myrecipes.com/i/recipes/sl/07/11/buttermilk-biscuits-sl-1673191-l.jpg

I agree - actual cookie implies no willingness to discuss the subject. Makes me wonder why it was posted.

oh my god, i'm not even going to get into such a lengthly discussion about something you effin well eat. mayuko. i wasn't saying an actual cookie like everyone else was wrong. i was saying actual cookie in the most commonly used sense of the word. for something that IS a cookie, and everyone calls it that, as aposed to the likes of a biscuit that has many different terms.
