this is just a really quick post, to let anyone know that has a blackberry curve 8520 that cannot "check in" on facebook, that it is possible!! the vast majority of blackberry curve 8520's don't have built in GPS.. so because they cannot track your location, you are not able to check in on facebook. and even if you set your location, you can't. i've searched many ways to fix this, even bought a prtable GPS tracker.. still nothing worked. my blackberry died, on friday night and i had to reload all the software. when i did this it told me that there was a software upgrade, so of course i went for it. i downloaded all my new apps, including the new facebook app, and low and behold, i am able to check in!! GPS was actually included in the software update. for for anyone with a blackberry curve 8520 that is annoyed they don't have GPS, plug your phone into your blackberry desktop manager and get the new software!!
