We need prayers for Tiger.

I am upset right now, and with good reason.
Nothing was done wrong at the clinic today with Tiger's neutering, but unfortunately he did suffer a complication after the surgery.
I took him in this morning and was called shortly before 2pm to be told to come by and pick him up.
I had been cleaning up the room he lives in so he'd come back to more room and a cleaner one, and left once I'd put everything back in there.
I got there shortly before 4pm, and they were busy. So I waited. They were going to bring him out to me, but never did.
When the tech came out, she explained to me that Tiger started bleeding after the surgery, an extremely uncommon complication.
I was told that they gave him an injection of vitamin K, and were watching him closely.
I was told to come back for 6:45pm, but I got back there shortly before 6pm and decided to wait there.
I had been told that the bleeding had stopped, but they wanted to keep watching him.
I waited some more, and as 7pm closed in, I still didn't know what was happening. There were others waiting to be seen, despite the fact that the clinic was supposed to be closed.
I called my husband and while I was on the phone with him, the tech motioned me back and put me in the operating room to wait.
The head vet came in to talk to me.
Tiger had stopped bleeding, but they wanted to keep him overnight to make sure that nothing happened to him.
So now I wait for a call from them, hopefully in the morning rather than the middle of the night.
I know he's a strong cat, he's tough, but I'm not sure how he'll fare from this issue.
I'm hoping that nothing else goes wrong.

Oh no sorry to hear of all that poor Tiger has gone through. Poor guy after all that he has been through I do hope that to date he is doing much better.
I am trying to get up to date with your discussions as I won't know the status of your pets unless I back track my time away from here. I do hope you don't mine. lol

I don't mind at all. It gives me time to go back and remember what I've written.

Kris, I hope he survives and gets his strength back. I am glad he will have a little time to recoup before he goes to a farm or barn. I had been worried last week when they were going to neuter him and then he was going to go in three days to the farm. I know you will do what you can for this kitty. You have worked hard to help him have a happy and healthy life.

Yes, I've bent over backwards for him, and I'd hate to see my hard work go to waste.
I was told that he'll mellow out now that he's been neutered, and the suggestion was made to hold off on putting him into the barn placement.
If he does mellow out enough for him to live civilly with all the animals here, then I will be keeping him. If not, he will go to the barn.

Wow, a lot happens when you don't log in or look at discussions for over a week! That sounds really scary. Did he recover from the surgery and complications? I hope all is going well for you now. Have a great weekend!!!
