My daughter started her first day of middle school Tuesday she really likes it she was so bored when she got home that she wanted to go back to school. Her school is right across the street from where we live so she gets to walk to school. Today I let her walk herself to school by herself for the first time. So far no homework which she is kind of bummed about I told her give it time you have not even been in school a full week yet.

That's great that your daughter is loving school! I was never that motivated that I wanted homework unless I had to read a book for English

Yeah I never liked school til I got in High school. I did not like homework at all I liked reading and still do I guess that is where my daughter gets it from. She is in 6th grade first year of middle school. I am glad to ave the school so close especially with me not driving.

It is great that you live so close to school. I am sure she will have plenty of homework, and make lots of new friends as well.

I am glad we live close to the school that way if she ever got sick I do not have so far to walk to pick her up because I don't drive. I think she will be getting more homework soon she just did not have so much because it was the first week of school.

This is exciting! I also have a daughter starting middle school this year. Our school does not start for another couple weeks but we get to meet her teachers next week. You are blessed to be so close to the school. And I know she just loved the independence of walking by herself. (I hope you're watching out the window)
Our school is a good 10 miles away and she has to ride the bus. I don't like it much but she likes it and its sometimes more dependable than my car. lol
Was he nervous about going to middle school for the first time?

I definitely am watching her out the window. My daughter use to ride the bus where we use to live at. She likes being able to walk to school she gets to do something I never got to do.

she is still excited, for kids its really enjoying being in school because they have friends there and many play mates, but that's good that she likes to be in school a lot anyway you said it's only across your home, so even she is there you can still check on her most of the time:)

This is the first time since she started school that she has liked going as much as she does right now. I hope it does not change I don't ever want her to not like school.
