Sugarland Stage Collapses

Country Duo Sugarland was set to perform at the Indiana State Fair last night when a sudden gust of wind toppled the stage on to the crowd sitting nearest the stage in an area known as "the sugar pit". It is a horrific thing to watch and I am glad that I was not there when it happened. It's reported that there were at least 46 people injured and 5 killed. Sad day at the fair and for Sugarland. Luckily, they had not taken the stage yet and their opening act, Sara Bareilles had left the stage or it could have been a very sad day in the world of country music. Has anyone seen the video of this happening? Was anyone attending this show that you knew? I had a couple of friends there, who have been reported as being fine just shaken up.

I heard about this accident earlier today. It was a blessing that nobody was on the stage. However, five people still lost their lives and that is very sad, not to mention all those that were injured. They said the storm came out of nowhere when it hit, no warnings at all.

I saw that! It was terrible. That video is scary. That was a huge scene to come falling down like that. That wind must have been crazy strong. I'm glad you weren't there too.
