During the pregnancy I've also been drinking carbonated mineral water ... My gynecologist has not banned me. If you are quiet you must definitely not, because it causes bloating and that's not really funny. For the baby and not for the parents.

Fizzy drinks when you are pregnant make you gassy and feel bloated. Some mineral waters are high in minerals that our fetus should not be exposed to. All pop seems to increase blood pressure due to sodium content. Any pop that has phosphoric acid in it will weaken your bones and teeth. Sugar sweetened drinks add a lot of empty calories. The sweeteners in artificially sweetened drinks are not really good for you. You are best to drink water and milk and real juice as your primary drinks.

Actually dear if you love the little life in your womb you will avoid carbonated drinks at all cost and if you love your life you will avoid carbonated drinks whether you be pregnant or not.
Why? Because carbonated drinks are nothing but sweet poisons. It is a mixture of phosphoric acid, sugar, caffeine, artificial coloring, and artificial flavoring which could definitely harm your health and when you drink this during pregnancy your child will have a part of the poison. The phosphoric acid in carbonated drinks corrodes your stomach linings, disturbs the alkaline-acid balance of your kidneys, and destroys your liver. Who is to say something?? I've never heard of. But maybe it has something to do with heartburn ?!?!? So I've always drunk water with carbonic acid.
Addendum: I know that you should go slow with caffeine, but carbon dioxide would be ok.
