As we know students have the right to form associations and unions to voice their opinions and demands . But mostly these unions are backed by political parties to help the students become strong in their demands and vehemently protest what they don't like . Actually the political parties are the main backbones and influence and indulge the students as per their motif . Students who are in their undergraduate level often get brain washed by them and act as per their advice as they are not much matured to build up their own agenda . No doubt in the process they develop leadership qualities but do you think such politisization of education is justified ?

I think that all groups in the entire world have some kind of political stance which they will encourage us to follow, however it is up to the individual to look at all of the information available to them and ultimately make their own decision about what they want to believe for themselves. I am a member of several student unions and most of them have different view points which I have managed to separate myself from up to date. I know that I will be able to continue doing so in the future as well as I am a strong character.

Thanks GemmaR . It is always worthwhile to hear the experiences of people who are/were engaged with the activity . As you are attached with so many organisations yourself you could nicely enunciate the student unions and their political inclination . I had been actively invoved in my college and university days as well . No doubt a strong character is difficult to be bent but at the very initial level as that of undergraduation it is very likely to be influenced under compulsion or motivation .
