Loosing weight is really hard. I tried everything from eating apples a day, took diet pills, waking up early morning to jog, eating a right kind of food but still no signs of improvement. Should I consult a nutritionist? I'm being bullied all the times. Is there a right exercise for me?

Are you genetically overweight? If you are not, then you should do more strenous exercise like the people who did it in The Biggest Loser. About foods, there are many healthy foods. You can search on the internet or consult a nutritionist to match your diet. It will goes well for you.

If you can swim I can advise you swimming. It can help you loose additional kilograms and in the water you feel lighter so you can exercise more. Also I recommend Pilates. Too loose kilograms you have to eat healthy. Reduce intake of carbohydrates and add to your diet more proteins. No eating before bed. Last meal should be no later than 2 hours before you going to bed. Do not skip breakfasts. Its the most important meal of the day and boost the energy to start your day better. I adjusted my life style after accident. I'm disable but exercise every single day and try to be healthy no matter my disability. If I could do it you can do it to. Find motivation. I wish you all the best

Wow I'm amazed despite of your disabilty you still managed to exercise. I'm bit motivated and happy. I take into consideration attending a Pilates exercises and eating a balance diet. No more meals before bed and eat more vegetables. I'll do it slowly but surely.

Lately, this has been my problem. I have been living a lethargic lifestyle and I have gained more. I am planning to somehow have this habit of waking up early and try to walk around the neighborhood before going to the office. I wish I could do that. I guess, we just need to be patient - they say it will take sometime before we get to see the results.

We shared the same experienced I myself is trying to change my bad lifestyle Weighing more than 200 pounds is very tiring and sometimes depressing, none of my clothes can't be worn. Patience and Discipline is for me the key factor.

Hello, Loosing weight is a wrong term, you should be loosing fat. And loosing fat is a slow process. What you should do is combine weight lifting, aerobic exercise and proper eating. You should do weights at least three times a week and do aerobics every other day. Slightly reduce the the food you take, "SLIGHTLY", do not starve yourself! You do not need any diet pills. You just have to be consistent. You might gain weight initially but this weight are muscles and not fat weight, just continue with your workout - remember, be consistent, fat takes time to go away. Every month, use weighting scale and the mirror to see your improvement not just the weighting scale.

Dear Jackie It would be nice if you could tell me your height. At least I have an idea of how much you should loss in terms of weight. Bearing in mind that you now weight 220 pounds. Remember 220 lbs. is not criteria of whether you are overweight or not. If you are five feet six or more, it's no issue. But if you are five feet below, then definitely you are overweight. I would like to establish this fact as then I can recommend wgat exercise is required of you. The best bet is to consult your family doctor on your general health first. If you are too sickly to embark on a weight loss exercise, then hold your 'horses' Until and unless you are certified 'OK' then go ahead. But for now, I recommend a mild form of aerobic exercise. Starting with slower pace and shorter interval over a long period of time. That my suggestion at this juncture. Why don't you write to me or continue more on this thread. OK? Thanks! Bro. Joe. GBU

Dear Jackie You have not stated your height and your race or country of origin. Just don't assume that you weight 220 you are overweight. If you are an Asian like myself, then you could be overweight but if you are an African, then maybe you are overweight. But the best measurement is to measure your weight length and your thigh. It does give you a more accurate measurement of you weight. Hence, could you give me your place of birth, your height, your waist length and your thigh measurement? Then we can discuss further! Alright? Thanks! Regards, Bro. Joe. GBU
