Some of us are complaining regarding the question that she has given to the Ms. Universe 2011 Ms. Angola. Because it was very simple and indeed very common. Some that I have read in facebook status are even complaining that it was an ugly question but when I am browsing her link on twitter this is what I find out.

It was my first time to know the truth and all I thought was it was originally written from the judges. This is an advantage for having another Filipino judges in Ms. Universe then it happens that we already have social networking sites that is we can be able to know a lot of information which is more accurate.

Yes it wasn't Lea who created that question. I myself was thinking how could she possibly write that very uninteresting and so familiar question. I'm glad Lea was able to clear this issue. It helps people know the truth as well. The Twitter has been really useful!

If we don't have social networking sites then maybe we don't have any knowledge that the questions and answers were only given by the organizers and not written by the judges. Wow for all these years I thought it was originally created by the judges that is why we tend to blame them so easy.

This only shows that there a lot of people who tends to judge easily. They are blaming Lea for that simple question. But according to her tweets, those questions are made already. For me, whether the question is easy or not, it is how you will answer it. Congratulations to Ms. Philippines and Ms. Angola, they deserve it.

That is true there are a lot of people who tends to judge easily and yet they tend to believe in rumors right away as what happened to so called Oprah's statement. Good thing we have social networking sites already wherein we can also connect with celebrities and other popular people then we will be updated on their latest issue.

Hi Metatronik!
Yeah, I also have heard from the news that the questions being asked by the judge was already pre-written by the organizers and literally given only to the judge. Maybe Ms. Angola was really lucky to pick what they say was a common pre-pageant questions (one being asked during practice or training session).
But let us be reminded that Ms. Universe pageant is more of a beauty contest and as far as I know the answer and question portion carries the lowest percentage or factor in the contestant scorecard.
Though I have not anything with Ms. Angola winning the ultimate and prestigious crown, but I really do believed that Ms. Supsup have greatly shown the character of a Filipina, not only through her beauty but also intellectually.
Have a nice day!

As I remember the question and answer has the highest percentage in criteria. Well I am not sure about it but let us say that it was also included in overall average.

Yeah at least she became direct to the point with her answers though I still appreciated more with the answer of Ms. Ukraine.

I watched the live streaming and it never appeared in my mind to blame Ms. Leah for the very simple questions she asked Ms. Angola. Let us just be happy and contented that someone deserving of the spot has won and that Philippines was one of the top 5. I may be a pure Filipino but Ms. Angola was one of my bet aside from our very own Ms. Supsup.

Ms. Angola became direct to the point at least with her answers. Though it was judged as well from other people that her interpreter might twisted her answers. At first I am disappointed why Shamcey only got the 3rd spot but then when I reviewed her answer again then that is the time I already understand why she didn't make to bring home the crown or even on the higher rank.

I don't mind Ms. Angola winning. She deserves it. The contestants in this year's Ms. universe is really charming and smart. I really don't mind whatever the question will be during the Q&A portion because it's ALWAYS the answer that I'll take into consideration. It doesn't matter if the questions is difficult or not. How the contestants handle the question and their poise matters.
Sometimes, the essence of an answer would come out from very simple questions :D I always believed simple questions shows the personality and depth of the respondent. Besides, the audience and televiewers can relate best on simple and common questions. Why bother with super difficult questions wth highfaluting terms if you can't even understand them in the first place? :P

I like your point there about being bothered for challenging question because even if that is only simple then that could be already challenging. There is no such rules and regulation on what to ask with the contestants of beauty pageant. That is why it pisses me off when someone even expressed it like a no-brainer question. SSHHEEESSH!!! as if that person is so smart.

Sad, Lea would have thrown a very intelligent question. Which brings us to the truth, the contestants are given these questions beforehand so they would not get too nervous....

It could be a challenging question as well if it will be written from Lea but of course I am not expecting that much.

I don't have issues of Ms. Angola winning Ms. Universe 2011.
I don't blame Leah too. It is competition and anything can happen. Nothing to be ashamed of Ms. Philippines performance, she did well. Congratulations to all the winners of Ms. Universe 2011.

I don't have any issues to Lea Salonga as well or even blaming her. But then of course you know people that are always complaining as if she was the one who created it.
