Why incense(fumigant,fume) is burned?

Some country, people ,is burned incense.I like incense. Because natural good air condition.Okay . Why dou you burn incense?

now that i think about it i don't really know why i burn it!! Perhaps it's because of the flagrance :P some say that it sothes your mind but i never actually realized that :|
