Mixing of Starch and Protein in a Meal

While reading an article in an old magazine on well-being, I got the information that protein and starch should not be mixed in a single meal. The author has not elaborated much on this point. From my knowledge about foods, I find that we can not avoid mixing proteins and starch in a diet.
Friends, if you have any information on the matter, please share it here, please.

It's a stupid thing to say. Obviously it's not true, you should have protein AND carbohydrates in your meals. You can take them seperately if you want to (although not many foods contain only one or the another), but there's absolutely no harm in having them in a single meal.
