Third interview with UPS France for a sales representative position

I had my second interview with Three of the Top manager of the company and the questions were coming all over the ballpark. In the end they gave me a sales sketche to learn within 15 minute and play it for 20 minutes with my future manager. After that they said that I ve maked lots of mistake and gave me details. They said that they ll contact me within a week and during the same afternoon she called me to say that the sketche was not that good but my profile was still interresting and that would me to attend a third interview tomorrow with more important manager. What do you think, is this normal like a hire technique or not normal and I really failed and they want to give me a chance?
