I have been wondering who invented 'Bless You' that people say to someone who sneezes beside them...although it is a good gesture but the bless you amuses me...hope some one knows a story behind this,.

As far I know, that it's a teaching in the book of religious ? which I know almost all religions teach us to pray for people who are sneezing, because sneeze is the pleasure of God. Have you ever wanted to sneeze but do not be sneeze? yaa .. god's pleasure given to us

I believe in God, but I can't see how sneezing is His pleasure to us.. I have severe allergies, and sadly today they have not stopped, even with five allergy pills. I know you're only suppose to take one or two...but I can't help it. The sneezing won't quit and I feel miserable aside from other factors.

I stems from a superstition in medieval times that the soul left the body when one sneezed all the best urban

I think the really interesting thing here is people saying 'excuse me' after they have sneezed. I would think it would be more appropriate to say excuse me before you sneeze so people know you are about to blow all the nasty bits from your nose. But I guess it is impossible to say it before sneezing because sneezing is involuntary action which we have no control over. So probably it is ok to say it after sneezing because we couldn't say it before sneezing to cover for that.
