Is real estate a lucrative investment option?

Some financial experts are now of the view that one can easily make real estate a lucrative investment option provided certain intelligent precautions can be taken primarily. It is no doubt a good suggestion. But I think what must be kept in mind is the fact that returns or yields from different categories of properties depend on location, quality of infrastructure and reputation or credibility of the developer. Apart from this, the investor has to verify the property title. Am I right in my observation? Have you any additional suggestion for the purpose?

Yes, you are right but one must take the necessary precautions as I have mentioned. Is not it?

Hi DoctorDidi, as in everything, timing is very important.
If we happen to enter China market now, and the government decides to cool the property market, we are going to make a loss.
I think in addition to the usual advice of location, location, location, we have to add in cash, and timing as the other two very important factors.
Plus never to invest in anything that we do not know.

I agree fully with your advice that never to invest in anything that we do not know. We must have some knowledge of that subject, preferably practical or at least theoretical before starting any such investment.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Location is a big factor, the province, city, and where in the city. At some locations, the prices of real estates are rising, and year 2012 is forecasted to see higher prices. For those locations, of course, real estate would be a good way for investments.

Real estate in my opinion is one of the most lucrative investment opportunities ever made available to us. You just need to have money to be involved in, and some skills in finding good bargains.
