Hi all,
I love the city I currently live in. My reasons are:
1. It is a historical city with cultural heritage that has some special aura about it.
2. It is not a fast paced city, which suits my temperament
3. It has a moderate climate
4. We can move about the place without being pushed around
5. Though it is not a metro, it has proximity to one & we can visit at our convenience & desire
6. There is people to people to contact and it is cordial
What are your reasons?

I really dislike the small city my son and I have endured for a year now. We made a big mistake moving here; we both been unhappy. On the internet they make a place look so great but when you get there you realize it isn't so great. Like you I love history. I also love to live in a city where there's lots to discover. And in a small city a person can be very limited because theirs all less to discover. Now in this small city I've come across a few people I really like; they are friendly people. But I been very depressed I can't get myself involved with anything. Sorry I'm being a bummer. It sounds like you have a happy life and I'm happy for you that you live in a fun city you love or you are at least closer to a bigger city.

I love the small city where I live and work because it is close to our capital city within one hour and a half. The small city where I live has been developing very fast with a lot of new and modern buildings and many famous scenic spots for fun in our leisure time. Also life here is quiet and the city is also close to the countryside. When I feel bored with my life, I can drive to the country for a ride to see the beautiful scenery of the country. Thanks for the discussion.

In the city where I live I can see mountains. Now if I had a car I'd (my son and me) be much happier. But the sad fact is that I am low-income and I don't have a car. There's probably allot of beautiful scenery closer to those mountains.

I certainly like the city I am living in right now. It is a beautiful city, easily accessible from place to place. My work place is also right the downtown business core, easilly accessible. There are nice shopping centres all over too. A huge Chinatown, where I enjoy delicious lunches every weekend. And, the weather is very pleasant all year round too.

no...I don't. in fact I hate it...I wish I could move somewhere else but there is nothing I can do...it's the capital of romania and it offers most of the posibilities in what concernes hiring. I finish college and I need to find a job. the city is crowded...and it's full of people that make me sick

Hi swissheart,
I had met some guys/girls in one program [quite years now] and I found them of very cheerful disposition and fun loving! So I would have thought they love the place they are from. [They were probably from Bucharest??]. I can understand how bad it feels living in a mad mad crowded place. Reason why I choose to take up a long term job in the current city.
Hope your search will take you to a city you will love.
Cheers.

Hi I would say I like my city but the weather has been awful lately. It has rained all but one day in September and there was historic flooding in that month. So I am hoping for better and nicer days. I would not say I love my city right now but I like it.

Hi soapies,
So the flooding has completely poured water on your love and modified it to 'like' lol! Hope the weather returns to your liking & you'll start loving your city again. :)
Thanks for the response.
