Well, if you ask me (Who wants to? :) ) it's just a question of money. I work as a TV sales man. LED is not such a huge step as opposed to LCD. So if you want to spend that extra money, do it. If not, just look for a 100Hz, full HD LCD model and you have the made the best choice.

What a good tip. But i don't think I will buy those LED TV as we seldom watch Television shows because I don't find any thing that's good for viewing except of course news!

I stopped watching television shows and TV in general, last February. Only movies. Movies are the reason to buy a good TV. You can watch the news or a cooking show on a 14" too.

I believe too that there's not much difference. What about the brand? what do you recommend?

If I was ready to buy a new tv I would buy Panasonic or LG. But I will tell you what I have seen through the years. Why Panasonic? They have the best colours (LCD, LED or plasma) and great performance in volume and different levels in the picture Movement is also very good, even in cheap models. So that would be my top choice. What I don't like? Their menus. Minor problem. LG has very good colours and volume performance too, but I would go for expensive models. And that is not negative because they have great prices. They are the most practical products around. Menus, connectivity, everything. I like LG a lot. Sony is a great company. I would encourage someone to buy Sony, even cheap models, because there are just minor problems in movement. The best reason to buy a Sony is the lack of flaws on the panel. There are no blurry spots. I like that. Also for the very natural colours. The next time you see a Sasmung, you will notice that the faces are red. Is your face red? Samsung is next. I would go for a LED model. Great colours and volume. LCDs have movement issues. PS3 fans ang gamers would not like Samsung. The menus are complicated in some commands. Try arranging the channels. You will not. Even I forget how when customers ask me. Philips. Excellent detail and colours. BUT!!! No volume. Their image is FLAT! I hate that. I have also noticed that white spots (a cloud for instance) seem like someone put a sticker on the screen. They do not match with the rest. Menus? The hardest to do anything. I wouldn't even go near a Philips. If anything else comes to mind, just ask.
