yesterday, I have been in an embarrassing situation where I felt quite shameful. A friend of mine held a wedding party and of course I rushed to the wedding hall. However, I forgot to take money with me. as you know, in China the best gift for the bridegroom is money, which is a custom that many people have done it commonly. what's worse, there was no ATM in his place and I just had dinner for a rushing hour and run away without staying long. worst of all, when I was ready to leave, another friend of mine has come and also come for his wedding, the guy I have owed him 100RMB two weeks ago, and I had planned to pay back but at that time, I really felt embarrassed. I just gave him a smile and whispered with him about this matter. I didn't know whether he believed or not, while I did not care. I would make up my mistake in the next day. so guys have you ever been involved this case? how do you feel about it? just share.

Not exactly like your situation.
but in a different occasion.
It happens to us and it's part of life.
It's good to have embarrassing moment to balance with sad and happy moments in our life.

Hi,
My story is different from yours. A few years ago I was a bit down financially. It's around that time when one of my cousin was about to get married. Like every other friends and relatives I was invited too but the worst part is I didn't have any extra cash to spare.
As I was thinking on how to present the happy couple with at least a gift, my uncle came up with a one in a million idea. He told me to attend the wedding barehanded. That was gross.I regard that as a big humiliation. To save myself from further embarrassment, I didn't go to the wedding at all.

It never happened to me as I take presents or gift cheques to wedding or such ceremonies . You never mind , people can make such mistakes . Take it easy . When you are to visit them next time take some gifts for them with you . Good luck :-)

I haven't been in your situation, because I always carry my money with me.
I think that's okay with you, I mean you have all the means to explain.
