A good massage would always drive away stress and help us to feel brand new. It brings us a brighter outlook in life and gives us the drive to pursue more on our chosen field. There are several kind of massage that you could avail of depending on your need. A Shiatzu is a Japanese massage system is intended to release energy blockages, rebalance and stimulate energy flow. An aromatheraphy helps the whole person with the use of essential plant and vegetable oils into the massage session, allowing the oils to do much of the work. Reflexology is an ancient Chinese technique applying pressure to points mainly on the feet but also on the hands and ears which correspond to specific areas of the body. There are still other form of massage like the hot stone therapy, swidish massage, thai massage, etc. Do you go for a massage? There are people who would rather have a pain reliever than a massage because they are very sensitive to pressure or they have low tolerance to pain. But for me, I always enjoy a good massage especially if it is done at home when you can have a peaceful sleep right after.

There really are a lot of kinds of massage. I think it's better if we choose a massage rather than pain reliever. It's better because you don't need to take any medicines. As much as possible, we must try not to depend on medicines. If we can still control the pain, then it's better to just do non pharmaceutical techniques in relieving pain. Medicines should only be the last resort.

Hi r3jcorp, its better to have a good massage to relax your muscles because massage provides a relaxing experience by artistic hand strokes on the body to rejuvenate the mind and body and eliminate stress also. It will relaxes muscles, relieve pain, improves and increase circulation. There's a lot of health benefit of massage. It is also geared towards detoxification by increasing the speed by which the cell of the body eliminate their waste materials.

I like it when I can have a relaxing massage with some essential oils. I have tried reiki and that felt ever so lovely. It seemed to recharge my energy levels. I had a reflexology session when my baby was not born by her due date. That special kind of foot massage and it did that trick. It was amazing because my baby daughter was born 48 hours later. I like to sit in a warm spa pool. Water can relieve pain and that is why a water birth is well worth having for a healthy pregnant lady.

Yes, a good massage certainly helps getting relieved of stress, physical stress that is. Another way I have been doing to be relived of physical stresses is jogging. That helps a lot too. Whenever the weather is favorable, I would go out to the park near my house and go jogging. That is really very relaxing and very refreshing.

Hi! I really like the feeling of being massaged after a stressful day. Sometimes me and my sister take turns massaging each other while watching the TV. It feels relaxing plus the bonding and caring is there.

I always go for a good massage. Massages and SPAs relaxes me a good deal and at the same time, if your masseuse knows Physical Therapy and/or Reflexology, you can get a good massage with additional health benefits (like improving respiration, digestion, etc) I also use aromatherapy at home and uses lotions with therapeutic effects. It boost my energy and sometimes, relaxes me

I prefer massage over pain relief medication. I have neck pain from playing sports but I've never taken a pain reliever for that. Massage helps a lot but again it's only temporary relief. I know others who take aspirin before and after the games but it's not for me.

I looooove having a massage. It just soothes me and relieves tension in my body. When I'm stressed or tired, I go to a massage hut near my house and I just love the smell of their oil. It's like a combination of baby powder and efficascent oil. And, they have very soothing asian instrumental music in the background that contributes to the soothing effect of the massage. I love swedish massage and the pinoy hilot massage (deep tissue massage).

Of course it is best to go on a good massage to get away stress than medicine. But for those who are so busy that cant find time to have a massage it's better to rest. I'm not into medicine when dealing into stress. I just need sleep/rest to recharge. I also drink plenty of water because stress dehydrates me *lol. A good food and a good talk with someone or doing "mylotting" because it drives away my stress. Just to add, I tried Shiatzu massage before and it's not my type of massage. I find it painful. I prefer the Swedish type of massage, so smooth to my liking.

hi there rEj! like you i would prefer a good massage rather than taking pain relievers to alleviate the pain. but the bad thing when i have massage is that i would giggle especially when they would hit my giggle points! lol seldom i have massage all the more with medicines. i would take medicines only when the pain is unbearable. what i do is just rest when i feel pain and fortunately the pain subsides after a few hours of rest.
