Are you experienced in buy in these two places online? How does it work? I saw a humor blog's picture, the guy received a stone in place of a PS3 from ebay, is that true? Can someone I buy from ebay just rip me off like that? I'd like to buy dvd from there, used ones it's fine as the tv series I want like Family Ties or Will and Grace are really old but could I trust if someone has the whole collection in a good price???

I have no experience buying on ebay. But I do buy from Amazon and have had no problems. I buy books and often they are used but I have never been unhappy with the quality of what I received and the service was very fast.

Yes is is possible that instead of PS3 you will get something else. The sad thing about ebay is that, not everyone there are verified members. Anyone who has an email address can sign-up to ebay and start selling and buying. You can even make a different email add and sign-up just to make bogus selling. One way to be sure that the seller will send you your item is by buying to power sellers. You will know the power sellers because they have a mark of being a power seller next to their names. They arfe the one with a proven track record in selling online. Hope you can buy safely on ebay. Iam not familiar with amazon though so I will not tackle that issue.

Hi Katie: the answer for me is simple: yes because they are well known sites with good reputation and very professional. I have bought in both sites. Even if on ebay you buy your products to customers around the world, ebay protects the buyers and at the same time I can tell you that amazon has given me the products I have bought at time. ALVARO

Always very helpful, thank you. I feel more confident to buy my Family Ties then I need to find online and used, they don't sale it anymore. When I watched Family Ties recently I fall in love, not only because I'm Michael J.Fox's number one fan (yeah right) but the series is so nice, naive and cute. I miss the 80's. But didn't watch it when I was a child. I think it was from the 70's because the way they dress, I don't know. Anyways, it's not available anymore.

I have bought from both Amazon and eBay, if you buy directly from Amazon and it's in-stock, you will definitely receive your items. If you buy from a third party seller you would have the best bet going with sellers who have a 100% feedback rating. I have also bought on eBay and I have only bought from sellers who have 99-100% feedback rating as well. If you make sure to check the seller feedback before buying, you will never have a bad experience buying online.

Thank you sooo, so much. Maybe that's the best answer but I want to check first :D I so want products that are rare, that you find only by accident on ebay or amazon but I saw this humor blog and the picture of a guy who received a stone in place of his ps3, can you believe that? I was very suspicious and didn't feel confortable. For example I want the old Family ties dvd and of course I can't find a new one, but now I know that if the seller has 100% rating than it's okay, that he'll send me. Don't those who scam others go to jail or something? Don't you have to put your real information on these sites? I don't know how they get away with this. Again you helped a lot with your tips and really know your stuff. Happy MyLotting!
