Do you believe in this famous St.Augustine's quote? Travelling to different destinations whether within one's own territory, country or beyond gives us the opportunity to learn about history, cultures, people, customs, importance of the place from any perspective and broadens our horizons. I make it a point to take time off, even if it is a leisure travel, to go out and learn something about the uniqueness of that location. I learnt about the various ways people greet others from my overseas travel to US & Mexico as well as places in north & north east India.
Do you have any interesting experience to share, from your travel?

I totally understand and agree with the famous St Augustine's quote. I have traveled to more than fifty different countries in the world. I love to find out about other cultures, see other lands, learn about the history, meet the local people and view the native wildlife. My favorite countries that I have traveled to are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Seychelles and Belize. My favorite cities that I have been to are Sydney, Cape Town and Vancouver.
I developed an interest in snorkeling around coral reefs. I did this my first time at Australia's Great Barrier Reef. I loved seeing the colorful coral and friendly fish. It was funny in Samoa I asked "it is a sea snake"? My reply was "no its a sea cucumber". Also in Samoa I was amazed to find a marine reserve in the capital city. A pole in the sea showed where the spectacular coral began. I swam out to that. I was really enjoying myself looking at the colorful coral. Little did I know it I was far out at sea! I tried to swim back but the tide pushed me out. I had to swim in a semi circle back.
I have visited many religious places like the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, the Western Wall and the Church of the Nativity. From the outside I saw the Grand Friday Mosque in Male. I have seen wildlife in different places like I had a safari in Kenya, saw penguins in New Zealand and kangaroos in Australia. I did some long distance walks in beautiful New Zealand.

Hello maximax8, its a pleasure to hear from such a widely traveled person! You've got a whole bag load of exciting experiences to share. I am delighted I could offer this prompt to hear your best experiences. If I'm not inquisitive, do you travel as a part of profession or as a mere exploratory interest?
Thanks for posting such wonderful information here. You have demonstrated that some people can be a mini book in the World book! :D

Traveling is my trip hobby. My career is primary school teaching. From a young age I traveled to France with my parents and wished to see lots more of the world. I traveled to Greece at age 14, to the Netherlands at age 17 and traveled around Europe at age 18. I was so lucky to travel around the world at age 20 to 21 years old.

I loved your quote as I love to travel and for me it has been a fountain of knowledge and a true happiness. It is important to know a little at least about the place wheere you are going, even if it is withing the boundaries of your country. Every place is different and in every new place you can learn.

I think it's really important and great for one to travel outside the place where we live.We could learn more and see what exactly outside world looks like.We could broaden our view and also be generous about life. It's really been great experience for people to travel.I would say i really do love traveling.
