What if you were one of the child which are switched at birth in the hospital like the girls in Russia? The story could be read at: http://gma.yahoo.com/switched-birth-girls-want-stay-wrong-moms-160048481.html
It would be a hard situation considering that you we're raised by a parents who are not really your own. Your real parents would be the true stranger if that would happen. Everything would be new and its not easy to adjust in that situation. Though soon your heart will prevail, you will learn to deal with your new life and be contented with what you now have.

I read that story and I remembered that when I was younger, I used to think what if I'm adopted. But, then, I look at the mirror, and see my mom, and there's no way she's not my mom.
So the possibility of being switched at birth is extremely low for me, unless it's just a coincidence that I look like my mom.
But, if I were switched, I'd stay with the ones I grew up with but also will come to know he ones I'm supposed to be with (just like in the story).

When I am still a child, I was wishing that I am the lost daughter of a millionaire and my life would be different. But I kept on telling myself that if that would happen, I would bring my parents and my sister with me and they will enjoy whatever I have to enjoy. Though like you, I will never be switched because I am the female version of my father and until now, no one attempted to claim for me, lol.

I think I wished something like that in the past, too. But, in my case, I think I wished that I was the lost child of an actor.
Silly things children think about.

My father is like my identical twin, so I know I couldn't have been switched at birth.
But if I ever somehow found myself in that situation, I'd definitely want to seek out my biological parents! I'd have so many questions to ask them...I'd ask them about my genealogy, our family traits, what I should look out for like any health concerns, and all of the traditions their family holds. I'd also look into suing the hospital, because that's definitely a mistake that should have been avoided.

Yes, I guess they have the right to sue the hospital. They deprived the child and the parent of so many important moments. There life would not be normal again. I just hope that with the families mentioned in the story would be great friends in the future. So the children will never have to be restricted to return to the parents where they grow. It would be better if they will be a family for each other.

If I were switched at birth, I would want to know about my real parents and get to know them and let them get to know me. I would still want to live with the parents that I have lived with all these years and I will still want them to continue to be apart of my life as well as my birth parents. I wasn't switched at birth though, the dad that I have isn't my real father and one of these days I would like to meet my real father if he would want to meet me and let him be apart of my life. And well my mother and I look like twins so there is no way either I could have been switched at birth.
