Another job with a temp agency.

I booted my husband out of bed yesterday morning to call the agencies about work. It was a good thing that I did, as he got a job that he started yesterday. The pay is even better than it was at the full time company he had started to work at, and he's happy. The downside to the job is having to get up really early in the morning to get there. He was late yesterday due to calling in so late, and was late this morning due to the fact that buses don't run so early in the morning and it's hard for him to get there. But I now figured out a bus schedule for him and he should get down to the area about an hour before he has to be at the job. As long as he's not late again, he'll continue to work there. I just hope that he explained to them that it was because he didn't know the bus schedules. The company is in the process of packing up to move out of the city, but no one is sure exactly when they'll be moving. If he gets hired on by the company and they do move, this will mean that we'd have to relocate. My MIL has no right to say what she did yesterday. She said that we couldn't abandon our roommates downstairs just for my husband to work out of the city. It's none of her business though. The thing is, if he got hired, he would be making good money, probably about $15-$20/hr, and it would be worth the move out of the city. I don't know what we would do about our roommates, but they would have the choice to move with us or stay behind and try to rent out the main floor of the house so they could stay here. If we had to move, I don't know what I would do for work, it doesn't look like there's much down there besides the factory he would work at and a Toyota plant. My husband wouldn't want to have to find more work somewhere else if we couldn't move, but I guess he would if it came down to it. I don't know if the company would pay for relocation expenses, if they did, that would be a bonus for us. I'll have to do some research into housing there, I've already researched transit and know that he could easily get to the job from anywhere in the city. Transit seems to be better there, not to mention that it's cheaper as well. I have to wait to find out though. If the company relocates down there and hires him full time, it may not happen until the spring. Who knows, it could be the start of a brand new life.

That sounds like a decent situation. Sorry for the late response, but I'm about four months behind. Did that job work out or did he have to start looking for work again? Has there been any improvement in your overall situation in the last few months? I have been in and out of the hospital again so my situation is up in the air again with this new chemo. I hope things start going better for you! Have a great week!!!

Is it maybe that your mother in law does not want you to move away from her, but is putting it on having room mates instead? The way I see it, they have the same option you guys have always had, of looking for more room mates. They will be fine. I hope you and hubby can find a way to have some peace of mind about work and income.

You are sounding very positive and this is great! Yes weigh out all the options and do what is right for the both of you as sometimes relocating may or may not be the answer. Fingers crossed for you both and hope that life only gets better by the day. Congrats to your hubby and it sounds like both of you are truly doing team work!

Hope your work is going on as usual. You had a lot of problems like injury while at work. Hope you have crossed all those barriers by now. I wish you get all happy experinces in the days to come.
