During this early snow storm that nocked down many trees and power lines, I was with out power for about 3 days. When it came back on, I found that only a very few fish had died as a result of the temp in the water going down to below 60 degree F. One was a freshwater anglefish that was about 5 or 6 years old.The others were small live bearing fish, I do not know how many because the tank is heavily planted to afford hinding places for the young to hide in. There was no heat or filtration in any of the tanks for that time.
How did your fish make out in any situation like this? I am hoping to buy a house in the near future and hopefully I can put a generator in the fish room for such an emergency.
