If you have a choice to not die and live forever, would you want to take this offer? and basically spend eternity on earth and live among generations of people and witness all that has happened?

I actually would like that. But I want to be stuck with being 25. I don't want to roam the world with the age of 50. I am 21 right now. I think it will be pretty neat to see the differences between the generations. But I do think that I will eventually want to die.

thank you for your response tessa. =) its quite nice to be able to see how the world change before your eyes and not through some kind of history channel. haha but maybe i am not that strong or courageous to go through so many lifetimes of others as they die and only me is left to live - maybe that way i won't even be willing to be living my life hurriedly.

we know for a fact that nobody lives forever except for the contributions to the world we can leave behind. If I will be given the chance to life forever, just the thought of it, is tiresome and so I won't take it. With the kind of society we have at this time, the best option is to rest early. But before doing that, I would see to it that I have enjoyed the short stay I have here on earth. Not simply to enjoy it per see but to live a worthwhile life. Doing the best I can with the talents I have been given, the riches I got, all these are just my means to share the blessings I have to those who are in need. Helping those who are incapable to end for themselves, and letting them realize that life is what we make out of what we have not just the consequence of others doing. Maybe if i have done that and I can say that I can rest in peace because I have lived my purpose. what is the use of living in eternity if you keep on looking for happiness and contentment. I would rather die early in peace after having fulfilled my mission. In end, generations will remember you by how you have shared love to those around you and your contributions for the betterment of their lives and not how long you have lived in misery trying to find your purpose.

Hi there janevi. you have a very great response to the discussion. thank you for sharing with us. =) I do think there are those that would want to live forever, and that would probably because they have billions of dollars stocked up under their name... and they of course can and should enjoy all those money that a single lifetime won't be enough. For me, I would rather have left something that i can be remembered by - me not having to be there physically but in memory is fine! =)

To be honest, I'm really not sure if it's something that I would want. As it stands for the moment, I'm not sure that I would. I might reconsider my answer, but I'm still not sure if it's something that I'd want to do.

I would love to live forever, it will give me so much time to read every single book on this planet, learn about other cultures for the rest of my life, but it would be miserable because all the ones I love would leave me, and every time I fell in love it would be painful because those people can't live with me forever.

I am quite in-between in this issue. I have enjoyed people and culture-watching. On this respect, I would like to see what teh future will bring. However, I am also adverse to the idea of living forever without a reason or purpose - and also of getting hold. Guess I do mind getting old sometimes.

Definitely not! I can't wait until my time is up.
