Get natural style with candid shot

I observed sometimes difficult to get natural style of our family member when we are on vacation or party. Some people tend to has special style on their face in front of camera. Maybe they really know the good angle of their face, in order to look more attractive or good..So I am really enjoy to snap shot in candid, meaning to ensure the object not aware that they are being aim to be captured with my camera. This way sometimes I will get different style of my model, their style will be natural than they notice somebody aim to them.. What do you think? Do you like to take candid shot as well? Do you have any tips to make it candid shot better?

Oh yes I think candid can be good for some, a lot of people put on a forced smile when posing for photos but then candid shots can catch people at an ugly moment so there is a lot to be said for both methods.

It can be good to take several phots when people are not aware of it, and it is easy to take away thosw pictures that are not good.
It´s a lot easier with the digital cameras nowadays. But it worked with the old fashion cameras too but got a lot more expensive in those days..
The good shots come like a snail and disappear like a lightning..
