There isn't much doubt that they were guilty but because the former judge in the case lost his license after pleading guilty to drug charges now the defendants will get a new trial and the families will have to once again sit through all the details of how this young couple was car jacked, sodomized, tortured and than finally murdered.

This is close to home for me. The crime happened about 45 minutes away from where I live. That was the most horrendous crime that I think I have ever known to be in this area. In the history of this area.
What bothers me about this is the jury made the verdict..not the judge. The pictures, the torture, and the abuse that that couple suffered at the hands of those men..oh and a girl are beyond the realm of anything that I can imagine someone doing to another.
It is a bad bad situation. One of them is crying that he is being treated "inhumanely" by officers when he walked back in the courtroom. Made me want to throw up.
The problem about this is that pill addiction goes far beyond the lower class. They would like to make it seem like it's just a problem for criminals, but the truth is that I think the addictions create criminals sometimes...even if they are judges.
It will be an atrocity if these criminals have a lesser punishment for their crimes. I son't really worry with the evidence they have against them but I doubt they will find a jury that doesn't know about this case. It was highly publicized here.
