The lottery funded scholar would change its criteria for the full tuition scholarship in this year, many students just got confusion from it. Normally, all you need just to achieve 3.0 GPA from your high school, and you have to maintain 3.0 GPA or above in college years to continue the HOPE. Now, you not only require to have 3.5 GPA from high school score, you must be a valedictorian or salutatorian type of students, and a SAT score of at least 1200 points to receive the full scholarship. With 3.0 GPA only receive partial of it, or $500 to $700 less. The average cost per semester in Georgia State University or University of Georgia are around $3200 per semester, with this help would make much more difference. I guess lately the HOPE can't keep up with the application of more and more students each year, that is why it became so much stricter and selective depends on the performance of students. Good keep it up, and earn your degree with the hard effort.
