Making Extra Money seemed trend these days

Philippines

In the United States I think it's normal for people to work on two to three jobs just to earn the decent way of living, paying bills and mortage, etc. In the Philippines. No ones contented with the earnings they get on their regular jobs, every body tries to find a way to earn extra income.but unfortunately, No one really goes in and apply for a part time job, i doubt it's allowed in here. Most Filipinos would go on sideline like having their own business, most of it are merely small and barely earning per month. though expenses also incurred in having a tiny business, it helps a lot in paying bills children's schooling and other expenses. But it is a must to earn extra income or you would end up getting late in paying Bills.

Things are much harder for many in the United States right now. Many people have lost their jobs & their homes. I thank God every day that my husband still has a good job & so far we've managed to keep our home, but I don't feel secure enough what with the way things are. Nothing is sure & just as soon it can all be taken away, so I do whatever I can to earn just a little extra money. It might not be much but I save everything I make so eventually it adds up.

This is indeed a sad situation. I was thinking that the US of A has hurdled the more difficult times already. Or maybe, the situation has at least eased out somehow since i gathered that it is no longer as difficult over there.\ It seems that the situation about finding it hard to make our incomes cope with inflation has really become one mighty global condition. I agree with you that all our extra income and savings do help a lot. Have a good day, robswife.

Hello Robswife, I remember watching these videos about these tent cities, those who couldn't afford to pay for the mortgage of the house. the secret to that I think is to keep on saving money so that you will be able to get something out of savings most specially during emergencies. Indeed, expenses are a lot higher now in the US that people sell houses with gigantic discounts. have a nice day.

I am engaging in Online Internet money making... I have a small Sari-Sari Store (traditional buy and sell money making)... maybe the third sideline is to bring back the desktop publishing that i did before, making 2x2, 1x1 id pictures using Coreldraw, Photodeluxe, Microsoft Word, and PrintArtist for Windows.

hi letranknight25! i hear what you say man. i entertained the thought of working two jobs at the same time last year but then i eventually ditched it. even started a thread here at mylot to get everyone's thoughts about it, http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2222376.aspx . i think the route to go to earn additional income is to have a second business or do part-time work such as online tutoring. anyway, i consider mylot as my second means of income. i bet games on sporting games as well but haven't really made much of an income to consider it a third job. lol! i have made profit over-all so i guess it counts for something. anyway, i'm going to do some online tutoring next year to augment my income. will also look at either gettign promoted to get a pay hike or transfer to another job with a higher salary and over-all better compensation package. making extra money doesn't seem to be a trend to me but a necessity. lol! cheers!!!

Hello Allen, Yeah it's true but i can still say it's a trend because this didn't happen back in the past because the economy was a lot better then. well, good luck with your online tutoring, i think it will not just benefit you but also the one whom you are planning to teach, if that person learns that is.

United States people have more working opportunities than us who are not from there. Here at my place it is very hard to even get a little amount of time log in to Facebook to check your updates when you are working. Also many of the online working opportunities are only available to US residents. I think they are not only ahead with us from real life but also in online money making.

Hello Indi15, Well, we also have financial troubles here too not to mention we got slums too that you guys have there. unfortunately we still depend too much on coal and hydro power and that's why we keep getting lhigh paying elecric bills. I think saving is one thing that will keep us a phase with the bills and that is how we are going to level up with the expenses.

It is sad to say, but times are rough and its probably going to get worse. I have one job and I work online part time. I do what ever I can to make a little extra money. Now days if you were to live on your own it would be very hard to keep up with all the bills. Although my father always tells me that "it has always took two paychecks to run a family". But that was back when my mother and father had good jobs. But sense then its been down hill. At minimum wage I don't think two paycheck would be enough either.

Hello kmeeks, Indeed prices of commodities, even bills have become high rise for the last ten years. if you have the same level of salary as your parents had today, at being single? i don't think it will be just enough of that. minimum wage won't be enough if you want to start a family. Have a nice day

It is a sad truth that earning enough to meet both ends meet has really become too difficult to realize. So, we find other ways of earning money. This is the truth behind even both husband and wife having to work attending to regular jobs. In the Philippines, a person who holds a regular job cannot have another regular job. But of course, if the sideline is something which does not involve a contract stating that the person will be solely working for a certain company, one may have that job. I used to be teaching in college before while, I was working for a government agency during my regular working hours. Most women get themselves in direct selling matters. Men may get involved in real estate selling or others akin to it. Have a good day, letrankinght.

Hello Trinidad Velasco, That's a huge problem now with my brother even though they both work every day, they still have problems when it comes to spending their expenses. Indeed they can't have another job which is already time constrait, what more if you have two jobs.Indeed they both into direct selling and probably networking too. Have a nice day.

Yes, I agree with you because I am also in the Philippines having a regular job but receiving a small compensation. Since I can't have 2 regular jobs a day, I keep on searching for a sideline to earn extra income, maybe 10 to 15 sidelines are enough for me to spend for food and pay for monthly insurances. I wonder why, what will be the good micro business for today? Any ideas from mylotters in the Philippines...

Letran, it is normal trend to see many people who are capable, will try their best to earn extra income for their own needs. Because things are getting more expensive and more and more expenses are coming up. So, getting another extra income is a must, so able to continue living a good life. Although many people who comes online earns a decent fix salary through fix job but seems not enough to cover their extra expenses. So, earning through online is another good way to earn some extra income without paying extra expenses for commuting.

Hello Myfb2009, It's awful that the rise of expenses cannot be cope up with the same level of salary over and over again. with that people have to keep on saving as many as possible, tightening their budget all the time but unfortunately they got bills to pay and they get upset over tons of bills over waste consumption of utilities. home earning is teh best indeed. have a nice day.

Hi there LetranKnight25, Well, I also observed the same. Many people now a days really strive to get more earnings. Perhaps, I should say, most people hence it is not only many but almost all are really trying their very best to earn that much. Not only here in our country but almost everywhere. Like my friend who lives in Canada. That he forwarded and shared me some links on how to earn more. Although he has a worked with fixed monthly salary, still, he search for more. Doing online and other ways to earn more. And the trend is somehow noticeable. Hence, some people are into this attitude because of alarming high prices on commodities and other stuffs. Aside from the monthly billing that needed to be settle.

Indeed, running own business have a share of risk as well. We must have the competitive technique ready in hand, to be able to survive. That's why, you can see some people, their business able to survive for a long time. But, for some people, they are having problem to maintain their business running.

Hello Airasheila, A lot has actually tried putting up a small business but because of too much competition and lack of market and if it's seasoning only, they ran out of business. well, when running a business, you just have to adopt to the possibility of attracting new people in the market and shouldn't use the same kind of technique since competitors adopt to make a better offer.

Now, not even the adults little children also need to be educate on how to do savings. Nowadays it is normal to do part time job and like you said it already a trend. Not just in US but everywhere there are people who will find an extra job to do to earn for extra income. For ladies it is great since they could earn from home-based concept of business.(^^)

Hello CTHanum, I don't know about other countries, but probably in some other parts of Asia they are also doing this. In the Philippines they have a lot of these kinds of small, medium and large franchising companies all through out the country. If one starts that kind of business, the others will imitate creating a competition. people should start a business that is surely not seasonal. have a nice day.

I agree.. Monthly salary here in the Philippines is not enough specially if you have your own family and if you only have an ordinary job. Husband and wife must have their individual job and help each other to pay their monthly bills and give the need of their kids. In my experience,my husband's income is enough for our everyday needs but i still need to have a part time job for us to have savings.

Hello LetranKnight, I also think some companies do not allow employees to have another job outside the company as it might affect the employee's performance. Well, neither do I think that I can do 2 jobs in one day. I love sleep! That is why I resort to earning online. When I am at home, I can just earn online and relax at the same time. Like here in Mylot, we earn little but we learn so many things and we have fun. Plus we meet a lot of people. I also earn through Odesk which is good enough. I make about 1k in one month. That is good enough for me What I would like to learn is how to invest. See, I want my money to work for me and not the other way around. I am looking for something good to invest on Good day!

Hello Girl_thinking, I don't know how other people are able to cope up with the pressure while doing two jobs. It's only known popular in other countries like United States.I love online earning because you don't get too much pressure unlike when you are working regular paper or collar jobs. though investment is something am not good anymore, am just glad i have come to love this place. Have a Nice day.

I also want to earn extra money. I am still a student but my school fees are getting higher and I've been removed from the list of scholars because of my grade in a subject. I really want to earn money to help my parents with my other expenses. I'm looking for a job which really fits me on what skills I just have now.

Hello Rusale, You can actually try blogging if you want to earn more, by the way you can start off with mylot too. the earning here isn't that big but it's good adding for your daily expenses. don't worry things are going well for you indeed. unfortunately my skills weren't even close to my current jobs, though i have acquired them through training, it's just that it wasn't me at all. Have a nice day.

I find the economy is tough for pretty much all countries. Some have it better than some. Even the United States, being tagged the "land of plenty" has it's struggles. The rate of homelessness has risen, people relying on government assistance, etc..When does it all end. I think as an economy we need to start creating more jobs than just putting a band aid on it, because when that happens nothing ever really gets fixed. I would definitely rather have a part time job, than a full time job, but even then when you're working part time, are the other sources of income going to work around your part time schedules at your other jobs? I think this is the reason why most people look for a full time job.

Hello Arieles, I don't believe that any more, ever since that war on terror started the country is suffering into deep financial troubles. some people have full time jobs but unfortunately they are not lucky enough to have a nice big salary that can actually help them provide paying bills. I think more people need to start creating business thus more jobs would come. have a nice day.

Now is the time for more people to turn to the internet. I know that many are deterred from using the net for income, as all you hear outside of online activities are the scams that many people get caught it, but there are many ways that you can earn online if you do your research. I found MyLot in 2007, and if I wouldn't have I would never think that earning a full time income was possible. Now I can say that I am coming on a year working from home in a virtual call center, I have earned income from several businesses, and I am looking to take on a second job, also from home, to fund my own business! Yes, the internet can bring riches to those who research and look for it!
