angry with my friend

I am angry with one of my friend because he affronted me. He launch me as a stupid man because of my one fault. He could tell me my fault in more proper way. I am waiting for his excuses and I never talk with him until he excuses me. What could you do if you face with such kind of a situation?

If that is his way of approaching thing then I would excuse him but if not, I would let him know that Iam not happy for what he did to me and ask him to apologize.
