Mind games, do you let the person you date confess first?

My male cousin who is in 1st year college, was very troubled. He has this female friend, a very cute one by the way, they go out regularly and he has been asking advice from me.
They have been hanging out for the longest time, and my cousin seemed to be very interested in her, and he said she seems to feel the same way. Both of them have just been exchanging hints on how they feel for each other and neither one of them would want to confess.
In hearing this I told my cousin, "your the guy, be a man and do something about it." Then he just replied "That's why I'm asking you kuya(tagalog word for older brother)".
And I was puzzled. It seems he has no clue what he should do next. I told him to confess to her. and he said "Can I just let her confess first?" LOL
Have you experience something similar? Would you let the guys confess first, or would you prefer "ladies' first"?

I think, the guy would be the one confess first how he feels toward the lady. Since, your cousin is very attracted to the lady. Always the guy first must confess and not the lady.

I would of course let the guy confess first. I find it hard to say my real feelings so I normally don't say anything and wait for the guy to tell me what he feels for me. I think your cousin should start confessing it to her. He should not be so 'torpe'

Eventhough we are in the modern era right now, I still believe that modern Filipinas have this "dalagang Filipina" values in them so I think it should come first from you guys. And I think it's very manly if a guy boldly expresses his feeling towards his "apple of the eye"

funny man is the tough and they should confess first and not the girl!!! oh what a shame if the girl will say first..hahaha,but later he can do it.

Funny.. how about putting a scenario and you yourself will act as an interrogator and will mediate after? later when something sounds fishy...
