I and my best friend are thinking to find a job abroad..we`re Indonesians, she`s from English literature faculty and working as a secretary and I am from social science working as freelance English teacher and online writer..we know it is very unlikely to get a decent office job for immigrants except if we`re too smart LOL,i got job interview for the post as pre-school teacher in the USA however, I am not sure to take it...Australia can be a good option as I have cousin there and we still keep in touch. I am thinkin about having short teaching term as volunteer in Eastern Europe maybe there will be an opportunity after that, who knows?the question is: Is it easy to move and get jobs in Aussie?Any websites where we,foreigners, can also apply for jobs?It seems the regulation is tighter after more and more immigrant from Middle East flooded Australia..what about New Zealand?Singapore?Any ideas?please share..thank you

Hello jasmeena, Yes it is always a wise thing to apply in the country where you have someone you know.I think after Osama's case immigration to these countries have become tougher at least for ASIANS.May be Australia is the better option than USA because you said you have a cousin there secondly cost of living i suppose is bit higher in USA than Australia. I never wanted to go abroad for work though the organisation where i work presently many time asked me to go to SHARJAH but i never showed my interest to go there so they did not send me.

I think it would be best if you consult some of your friends who are already working abroad. Because this time, it's not always wise and safe to apply online. Considering your expertise, I think you'll have more chance to work abroad, since there are a lot of countries who need English teachers most specifically the United States. Bottom line, and to be realistic, while it's true that it's not that easy but for someone who has all the determination, the skills, and the will, and with God's blessings, to move and work abroad is very possible. Good luck!

You should think very hard about whether you actually want to make this move or not. A lot of people completely underestimate just how much their families mean to them and, when you travel across the world away from all of the people who have been looking out for you, it can be a great shock to the system because they people who you expect to be there just aren't there for you anymore, which is a little bit sad. However, if you think that it is going to be the best choice for you then go for it, because life's just too short to be thinking about what might have happened if you'd taken the chance.

why do you wanna move??do you think that your current job is not enough??what about the payment?? is it too cheaper for you?? where do you work as online writer?? but if you think that you are able for working in abroad, go ahead... please make sure all of your information is fully trusted about the destination place.. so maybe you can start from the embassy..you must consult with embassy...and i think you can ask anything related what do you want to know..

every person should have a upgrade or try to make oneself according to the change of time and change in positions. When we always strive for a betterment it is good for us.We should be up to date and if we are not doing so then we become people from the ancient history and the future generation which is the kids will have to work more and more for being equal with the growing technology and changing things.

Would your schools you have been in be any assistance to you? And since you are wanting to go to different countries would the Embassy maybe assist you in the positions you are requesting to do? You will need to check into visas anyway and they may have listings of jobs available and the possibility of how long a work visa could last for you. I am in the US and also in a tourist area. We get different people from different countries here every year on work visas for the tourist season. Also if you are willing to work in less enabled countries, check with your church affiliations and see what might be possible to assist you with. Good Luck and I really wish you all the best!
