How do you feel when you receive two many short messages in a short time?

The new year is on its way.I think most of us are thinking about what we have got in the past year and preparing for the new year.It must be a good affair to receive some short messages of wishes from your friends.However, if the number of messages is too large in a short time,how do you deel with them? Last new year eve,I received so many short messages for wishes of the new year, some of which had the same contact,that I didn't have enough time to reply them.Because they reached just one or two hours before the new year o'clock. Guys, how do you like if you face such affairs?What will you do with such affairs?
