in our country, now it is tradition to eat birthday cake the one's birthday party.
there are also candles on the cake, the candle number symbol the age of the person, for example, there are 20 candles on the cake that mean you are twenty years old now.
before eating the cake, you also need to close your eyes and make a wish and every one will sing the happy birthday song to you.
after all of this then you can cut the cake and give one piece to each peope.

Yes the same here. But I don't like celebrate my birthday. I did celebrate my birthday five times and I think I won't do it again. Because it means that I am getting old, old and old :(. but I like to celebrate my friends' birthday and give them a surprise :).

I think it is really a good tradition during birthday the mostly everyone practice.Here also,after singing Birthday song,make a wish and blow the candle,the cake were cut and share to the people who was there and enjoy eating the cake.

It has been a birthday tradition for so many years in my family. The birthday child is taken out to lunch or dinner by family members and we have a small family get together with giftd and cake and ice cream. it is a tradiition that we all enjoy. So i would have to say that I will definitely be eating cake on my birthday.

Why not? We have the same tradition, but my parents never bought any of us cake for our birthday. I have four siblings. No one experienced blowing candles and eating cake during birthdays.
The only time when I had a cake during my birthday was when my manager in my first job learned that it was my birthday. He bought a cake and ice cream. I was handling a radio station program that time. I wasn't able to finish the program because I cried. 
Yes. I did. It was the first and last time that I had a cake on my birthday. I have money to buy a cake, but I want someone to buy it for me. I am expecting someone will give me a birthday party, a surprise party. We can never tell. Life is full of surprises.
