Does Storms' names matter to you?

Hi there snowhybiscuis!
I think there are just some people who are interested with such random facts. I only remember the names of the typhoons that really affected the country and when so many lives were lost. The typhoon that I remember the most was Frank. I think that was in 2008 or 2009. That really affected our province and we did not have electricity for a month.

Hi nanayangel.
I too remember names of storm because of their impact to our country. The last storm I remembered so well was storm/typhoon Sendong because of its devastating result at Cagayan de Oro (a province here in Philippines).
Hoping there would always be more sunny day.

The name of the storms do not really matter to me. What matters is how strong that storm could be. Hearing of upcoming storm is a big concern to me because storms usually bring about to much rain that causes flood. If you can see in the news, the flood has been damaging properties and killing a lot of people these days. So whatever the name maybe, my concern is for the coming storms to be not as devastating as they were during the past year.

Initially, I thought that the names of storms is somehow related to its strength. Before, name of storms were after female names. But now, we get male storm names.
The name doesn't matter much to me either. It's the strength and amount of water it brings. The storms are getting harder each year. So we must be prepared by planting more trees and cleaning our drainage.
Let us wish for a sunny day always.
