hi friends.just an old news. apparently Dinesh Karthik who played 3 seasons with delhi and last season with punjab will be playing for the mumbai indians. it is reported that mumbai paid $2.35 millions for Dinesh karthik when the IPl transfer window opened last week. considering gambhir was the highest paid last season with $2.4 millions,it is assumed karthik as the second most expensive player because neither IPL nor the teams will let know the amount paid during such transfer. that was almost 3 times he got for last season. well he was tamil nadu's highest scorer in the recently concluded T 20 tournament and scored briskly when chasing 140 in 14 overs in a first class match along with 2 hundreds. the question being did Mumbai Indians were right in paying such huge amount (if it is true ) for a guy who is not even in the national team?

I am bit surprised with the news. 12.4 crores? Thats too for Dinesh Karthik? I mean come on we know that he is a good player but does he worth 12.4 crore really?? Previously Mumbai had bought Pollard for a huge amount of money but execpt a few matches had he done justice to his value? I think IPL is ower rating some players.

Well this is a huge surpise to me that they paid so much for him. Yes he is a good and an useful player and wil add to their Indian contingent strength, but I feel the money paid for him is too much!! Mumbai Indians are like the Manchester City of the IPl.. They have an owner who has unlimited funds and wants the trophy badly so a few extra crors aint a big prob for him.. Cheers
