A walnut is very tough outside but it is so soft inside. Often we see people tough and perhaps rude at times. They look so powerful and strong that no one can shake them. In the world they may enjoy great reputation. They may enjoy great popularity in the society. Thed people are agressive apparently. They may remain tough and resistent to any condition. They put on this mask to protect themselves from all situations. The aggessive behaviour of man often may be an outward show for the self defense but in reality they may possess within a sweet, soft and tender disposition for those with whom he shares life.
Instead some people may be like the sweet apricot. Outside it is so soft and tender. But deep within the fruit appricot has has a hard and strong core. The man who is soft at appearance but so hard within, may possess a strong character. He may possess a most genuine stuff within which is enveloped with all goodness. But it may also happen that a disposition that is merciless.
Very few may possess a balanced disposition that is how they appear to the public so they are really within

I totally agree with you. Very good observation.I see daily in my life people who sound so mean and agressive but deep inside are gentle and soft. This is a kind of selfdefence as you mention.

My disabled son has a learning support assistant. She looks like an angel and she has a personality like a cake. She is very kind, supportive and understanding. I know a man that can get angry but inside I think he is sweet. When he feels threatened he shows aggressive behavior like road rage. When I was a university there was an awful looking student in scruffy clothes with a crazy sort of hairstyle. She had the nicest personality imaginable. She was like a sweet apricot and she had an ability to have a strong core when in the classroom with junior aged children.

A lot of people are rarely what they seem to be on the outside. There are some people who are going to have a much tougher exterior. Perhaps they are going to really be something that will protect them from the harsh realities. Mostly because they have been burned once and once is often enough for these people. They don't want to lead their guard down.
Then there are a lot of people who wear a kind mask, but sometimes it is just to draw a lot of people into their web. There are times where if you know what you're looking forward, you can see when a person is being deceptive, as they overcompensate what they are doing. There are some people that what you see is what you get but it is not something that is going to occur all that often. I do agree that there is often a lack of balance.

This is so very TRUE. People are not always what they seem to be. I am guilty of this sometimes. Sometimes I am like a walnut and sometimes I am like an apricot depending on the situation and depending on the people I am with.
