I think many of you can relate to this, you see a Burgerin a commercial and it looks huge, plump and fresh and when you go to the restaurant or fastfood, It looks nothing like the real thing, Its small. I found out the secrets why many foods looks good in commercial, apparently you will prefer to eat the uglier real life version over the ones in the commercials. This video explains why everything looks delicious in commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?endscreen&NR=1&v=xA14pAGW4UA Burgers looks juicier in commercial cos its not fully cooked, and it has lots of non edible stuff on it.

tons of food are wasted everyday, not only in commercials but in everyday life.

and you cannot eat the ones in the commercial cos they were raw, have pins and needles and some barnish and paint on it.after the shooting of the commercial, most likely, those "foods" are thrown in the trash bin.

Yay! That is so clever but it is cheating the consumers...I have seen on TV that Alum is used by food stylists in photo shooting drinks. That I couldn't take. Imagine the thing used by some people as a deodorant and food stylists use it with soft drinks...

Yes. That is their reason for using alum...Another is that it doesn't perspire..I mean it won't mess cause they don't melt. The beauty and arrangement of the drink is retained.

I guess unlike real icecubes and real crushed ice, The tawas powder wont melt fast.commercials might be short but shooting them actually take hours or even days.

A lot of times. The food shown in commercial looks as if made in heaven. Well the deliberately do that, it is obvious. But every time i see something like that i get hungry, and when eat i would lose my hunger because real food doesn't look anyhting like that.

and the ones in commercials are not edible, some icecream in icecream commercials is actually clay cos the real icecream will melt with camera light.

are you familiar with those desserts that uses crushed ice? IN Tv commercials, they used crushed vermiculite crystals cos real crushed ice will melt on camera.

Hello CaptainAlbert, What can you expect? they are nothing more than just uncooked props in order to boost marketing on a certain level of food. In my view, i don't need commercial to see and taste how good the food is. luckily, I get to eat it first before seeing the commercial later on. besides, you don't get to eat what's on the commercial but what's on the fast food itself

It's supposed to appeal the customer's taste buds - by making something look better than the actual thing, the customer will want to go buy it, because it looks good.
