Would you take a day off on Martin Luther King's day?

I knew most bank branches and schools, or even government office building might close for today. But I knew most work places will still open for regular hours. I knew some people are really respectful for this civil rights leader, and they are willing to commemorate his great achievement for all of us today. Will you still take a day off to memorize this great leader, or you will work on your regular hours. At my work, a couple of workers are taking a day off, probably they are trying to memorize this great leader of our history.
