Olympic village kitchens

Just heard that the accommodation in the Olympic village although it is the closest athletes have ever been to the sports arenas will have no kitchens. All participants will have to use the extensive catering facilities. How well these facilities will cater for the international participants is open to question. In Bristol we have the largest restaurant in the UK which can seat 1000 people and has specific seating times and serves.international food. That will be of no use to the Olympic travellers as it is about 230 miles from London.

They organizer may not see the necessity to build a kitchen in the Olympic village cater to the athlete daily meal needs, the men and women may not have much time to cook and get to use the kitchen before and during the event, they must be adhere to strict diet and specific food intake drawn up by their trainer. It may well is the main reason a kitchen for those athletes is lacking in the village, since they can get their food easily from the catering facility in the community and towhship nearby, it is also good for the restaurant business around the town that host the event.

Hi lamps thought I was wasting my time posting this one. I was thinking that just because they have to have their special diets that were based on the foods of their home country it would be easier for them to prepare their own foods. The accommodation will be transformed into accommodation for the people of east London after the Olympics then they will be fitted with kitchens.
