usa economy  | |  How many are very very sure that USA economy is going to fall and the world is on the brink of depression like in 1929 and its just a matter of time as to when. Statistics prove the as of now America is taking more loans to pay off interest of the loans they have taken. so the debt here is really great and with American just spending there is nothing coming into the economy. what do u think

The 1929 recession was caused by specific things: a US congress that decided to ban free trade, not realising that this would hurt the economy, a Federal Reserve Bank that didn't understand the importance of liquidity during a crisis, poor regulation of banks, plus europe still suffering from the after-math of WW1 (wghere about 10 million European males aged 18-30 died, decimating a generation).
We've all moved on since then and know so much more about how to avolid such disasters. It would have to take a giant calamity - a nuclear war, to replicate the conditions of the 1920's, 30's and 40's.
