Has anyone used this site? Either to buy something or sell something?
Basically, you offer to do something for $5. Whatever you can do easily, quickly and well that you feel would be worth $5 to another person to not have to do themselves. Obviously not scrubbing toilets because it's an internet job but people have things up there like taking pictures of things that look like letters to spell out your name or drawing a portrait of you in their particular style (I recommended to a friend she should do that) or record a video of something you want to tell another person... Seems like a decent way to make some cash.
I have recently set up an account to sell some pretty basic services (proofreading short papers and taking pictures of things for blogs and presentations, whatever http://fiverr.com/khkcrimson) that I thought would be relatively popular (didn't expect to get rich, but maybe fund a hobby) and I'm not getting any bites.
So I was wondering if anyone else had an account and if you had had any success.

Hi,
I recently joined Fiverr as a service provider, specialising in blog commenting. I had my first order yesterday, so it's taken about two weeks. Before that, someone inquired, but didn't bite.
My Fiverr page isn't something I've promoted. There are also lots of people on Fiverr offering blog commenting as a service. I used humour and quirkiness when writing about myself and the gig. I don't know if that was perhaps a contributing factor.
Give it time. It was 2 weeks+ before I got my first order and I see you've been there for less than that.
Take care...
