It said as you get closer to God, the devil tries to derail you. You think that is true, does it mean the closer you get to God the more the devil tries to get you to go to him instead of God? I wasn't sure I understood that, but it's probably true in some cases. It probably means to saty focused on God and never let the devil conquer you.

I have heard of this tink before, NailTech.
I have also heard, "Never let the Devil to drive." Along with that we should not let to the Devil to get in the car, but if we do don't let the Devil to drive.
I wonder about that quote because I imagine it would be difficult for to drive with the cloven hooves. She might be able to press the throttle and the brake, but what about holding the steering wheel with the cloven hoof?
I think that the quote you make here means what you say or something like if you try to follow the God, then the Devil, she try the harder to stop you.

"God is good, the devil is a liar." I like that. Lots of wisdom in that.
I'm glad that your father got better.
Thanks for Best Response. :)

I understand the quote to mean as you become closer to God, the devil tries to cause trouble in your life or doubt in your mind, not to get you to go to him, but to make you drift apart from God. I think it's supposed to be a reminder that no matter what bad things you might be going through, God is still there for you and you shouldn't let the devil make you lose your faith.

Yeah that's totally true. But nothing the devil can do if you are determined to get close to God. All the devil can do is to make you discouraged by different sort of things. But we know when you really want something nothing can stop you even the devil as God is more powerful than the devil. So what I get worried about is myself if I had enough desire to be close to God. And I'm not worried about the devil. But I do admit that I do have problem getting closer to God as we live on this world and sometimes there is some thing in life, in our past that is holding us back to give ourselves totally to God

"If I swore you were an angel would you treat me like the devil tonight?"
I love that quote, but it's never done me no good. Can you tell me why?
