I think a true relationship should be based on respect from both sides and a sense of belonging to each other,and this can only be achieved with efforts from both sides.If one of the partners feels used and treated badly by the other,things will explode sooner or later and that relationship will eventually be over.Everyone has a sense of self-esteem and cannot accept being humiliated forever.

Very true. Respect and esteem are two of the most important pillars of a relationship. Respect is based on consideration and appreciation. To have a harmonious relationship must consider your partner a person and his actions follow. Is entitled to their opinions, feelings or behavior.
