Where do you change your baby's diaper on an airplane?
Well I thought this was a good question since there are quite a few times where mom's or dad's have to travel by plan with there baby's. Well all of the airplanes I've been on they don't have changing tables. So when my nephew was younger and we where on an airplane we changed him right there where we where sitting if he a diaper that need to be changed other wise if it didn't need to be changed we would wait till we got off the plane and change him in the bathroom.

Gee that can be a problem, I am that scared on a plane I don't move around so I have never even seen a bathroom on a plane so I don't know how big they are, but you would think there would be some area for situations like this especially on long flights..

Bathrooms on the plane are small not enough room to do anything. Maybe the first class bathrooms are bigger but I have never been up there to know. When my family travels we try to take up several seats in case that happens because it doesn't bother us if one of us has to change one of our kids diapers on the plane and if it bothers anyone well they can just look the other way.

That's really very inconvenient. I'm lucky I didn't have to go thru such with my first baby. The earliest we got her on a plane with us, was when she was already 2 years old. She still has nappies on for unexpected urge to pee, but I just made sure that she already pooped before we get on the plane. Travel time is no more than 2 hours, here, anyway.

Some times you don't get to choice when you have to travel. My grandmother had just passed away so we all had to go. I had the choice to stay cause of finals for college but I got mine pushed back by a few days so I could go and say good bye. So we all had to go including my nephew that was only about 5 months old at the time. He did ever well yeah a few diaper changes but everything went well and not a lot of people where going.

I travel on scheduled planes that always have a toilet that has a tiny fold down changing a baby table. It is very small and a hard table without a soft mat. I find it challenging to fit my two year old daughter on it. She is able to walk and I can change her on the plane. Though my four year old son needs catheter care and he can't walk. There is not enough room in the toilet on board a plane for my son. On Virgin Atlantic to Cape Town it was a 12 hour flight. They let me do his catheter and diaper at the back of the plane in their sleeping area. I change my son at the airport before take off and straight away after landing at the arrival airport. We need special assistance to get him on board the plane in any case. I suggest a fold up change mat on the seat for a small baby.

We don't have those kind of plans in the US. So we have always just changed them right there in the seat at the back of the plan where we get our seats all of the time. I would never change my baby in a plane bathroom. Most people here don't care where you change your baby as long as they don't have to deal with it.
