Hi guy! Here in the Philippines specifically in Visayas a strong earthquake happened causing a lot of establishments to be destroyed and some people died.Earthquakes are happening every now and then and I have noticed that nowadays strong one really come. We may not be able to predict its coming but we must know what to do, to help save ourselves when we are in such situation.I have not experience it but I want to be ready. I think the best thing to do is not to panic because once we panic our brains fail to think properly. Although this is not easy to do we must really try to think instead of panicking. #If you are indoors, drop to the ground and hide under a light furniture or table and protect your head.Stay away from glass, windows ,doors and walls. #Do not use the elevator and be aware that electricity may be affected. # if you are outside, stay put and move away from buildings, light post and wires. #Stay away from the beach, a tsunami might occur. These are just the tips that I know. Can you share more? Thanks.:)

A strong earthquake will almost surely trigger landslides. I am bothered that landslides are not avoidable because gravity pulls the debris down fast. It is much like a tsunami made of earth. If I live in an area prone to landslides the house must have with it a bunker like those that protects against tornadoes. I will keep it stored with food so in case we are trapped I would have more chances of surviving and if no one tries to save, keep a shovel to dig my way out.

Oh no, my plan do not agree with the guides I've read from net. Better rely on internet for safety instructions in times of calamities.

Hi! OW I see. I think a bunker is not safe during a landslide.Lost of big rocks do fall down and might even trap you more. Yes indeed ,better read more about this.I hope you'll be able to transfer to a safer place.:)

Hello eljayo... Yes, the eart is going crazy lately. Hope your place will be save and no more earthquake. You have mentioned all the best things to do when a strong earthquake happens. When you are indoors, I suggest you to get out if it is possible and stay in a wide area that is far from buildings, or stay in near a pole. Take care.

Hi Zaahro. Thank you for your concern. My place is quite safe because my dad is a geologist and knows where it is safe to live. However there are some calamities we cannot predict and avoid. SO let us just pray for all our safety. I think its not safe to stay near a pole because it might fall because of the earthquake.:)
