how to determine if a PTC site is rightful or not?

As we all know that there are lots of PTC sites being offered/ advertised nowadays, right? But how can an individual determine if these PTC sites are rightful or not??? So that we can avoid scams... :)

There is an investigation site but u still need to update yourself frequently as site went scam every now and then
