I keep hearing how beneficial sea salt is compared to regular salt. You can still get too much of it like regular salt but it does have more minerals and such in it than regular salt. Are you watching your intake of salt these days? Then you are probably better off using sea salt but also to a minimum and not overdoing it either.

I just read this a while ago and I want to share this since were comparing sea salt and iodize salt LATEST CANCER INFORMATION After years of telling people CHEMOTHERAPHY is the only way to try and iliminate cancer. JOHN HOPKINS is finally telling us an alternative way and one of this is about our salt intake An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple like sugar, milk, meat. *Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

Hello acey. Thanks for the info regarding the cancer studies, it seems like I have read that all before somewhere but it's good information in case someone hasn't. It makes sense to starve something thats alive and well but only doing you the worst possible harm, in your body. Sugar, milk and meat and even chocolate are the worst things to have while cancer is roaming inside of you, thats for sure. I didn't know table salt had an additive that makes it look white in colour, that is a new one. Bragg's aminos and sea salt is also a familair name. I've gotten some samples of theirs a long time ago. I never actually bought their products. Maybe it's time I do.

How can you know it is sea salt or not? I often buy salt at the market but am not aware which is which. Are they different in color? Or maybe different in price?

It should say so and hopefully it is the truth, on the label. Also it has a distinctive taste too so you know it is not reg. salt. They are all the same colour, pure white. Never saw any different color of salt. The price is probably higher on sea salt. I have found small jars of it elsewhere for $1. but it was not ground up small.

Here most of the time we willjust use regular salt to cook. But when we have to use a lot of salt to make some dishes, then we will use sea salt since it will be much more economical. I love China

I just saw a huge container of sea salt in Costco yesterday, I should have bought it. Maybe next time, my family sometimes uses lots of salt and wish they would cut back. Maybe this is another alternative to their usage of excess salt.

I tend to use sea salt while cooking and then rock salt (regular salt, as you said) for after cooking... on the table. Sea salt is lower in sodium so if you are concerned about that it is good but it says on the package that it is not a significant source of iodide which is a mineral in rock salt that we need in our diets. So it is best to use both in balance with each other as one has somethings and the other has other things that we need.

Rock salt, oh is that what regular salt is called also, cool-- I didn't know. Thanks for the info! Sea salt seems to be lower in sodium but thought it had more minerals like iodine? Oh these reports are so conflicting for me, it makes you just wanna stay with the rock salt, LOL. I've never read the package on any seas salt, unfortunately, maybe it depends on the brand? I dunno.

That's what I use at home, nothing but sea salt, in fact we no longer purchase regular salt. The stuff we get still has iodine. The taste is better as well. I also like putting it in the bath tub once in a whole to give my body a nice salt bath especially when I have a few cuts or something, it feels so good, and heals more quicker that way. Been using sea salt for probably 4 years now.

Good choice, it's those better choices we make that count sometimes, and if we think we're getting something more healthier for us and our family and most reports say it is healthy for us than why not. If you also use your own judgement and can tell how much better you feel after using sea salt then I would say it's good for you.

Sea salt is more beneficial for health compare to regular salt , because sea salt contains lot of minerals which are lack in regular salt. Iodin is a very important minerl which we get from salt, and if we are using sea salt than we need not to worry about iodin but in the case of regular salt we need to be carefull and choose salt which contains these all minerls.

I thought all salt had iodine in it, I know it's very important for our bodies. I would think though that sea salt has more. I wonder if we can ever get too much iodine?
